I found your presentation to be very informative, as I was unaware of what a DVM was prior to reading it. I found it most interesting that a DVM gave a person so many potential careers to pursue, making it unlike many other doctorate degrees.

Hi Hannah! I did very similar research to you in regards to emotional experiences. It was interesting to see you find similar findings about the veterinary field. I especially like how you listed the other careers one can pursue with a DVM, and show more of the reality of salary and hard work veterinarians and other careers with a DVM have to go through. Its a great field- just hard work! Best of luck to you.

Hi Hannah! I'm so glad you not only brought attention to the negatives, especially compassion fatigue, which I feel like needs to be talked about more in any medical profession, but also how we can use said negative side effects to create a positive working environment. It was also reassuring to show the breakdown of a realistic vets budget, as student depth can be daunting. I really hope you are able to open your own practice one day, and until then I'll be wishing you the best of luck!

Nice presentation! I never knew veterinary medicine is a high risk occupation for suicide. That is why we should frequently appreciate the work of healthcare providers both for humans and animals. I am glad you already have amazing goals once you are practicing.
